They are waiting for people to die. Or to give them the benefit of doubt, they have no access to social media and don't realize what is going on. (Although I highly doubt that, with the cars going around BP, and all the shuls closing)

i was actually thinking this today. I’m sure plenty of people are completely clueless to reality on the ground simply because they don’t have access to media etc

I think the only way to keep people home in New York and in Lakewood is to drive around in cars with women singing and they're going to run home

I was actually talking to someone who had no clue. The solution for that is schools calling all parents and mailing out protocol instructions. We have to spread the word to the few who really don't know. Its so so important, I can't stress this enough.

They knew there is a virus going around. That was the extent of it. Had no clue of the impact, how many people are actually infected, the CDC protocol and recommendations, etc.

It filters through eventually, but it's delayed. So they are looking at it now like most people were looking at it 2 weeks ago.

I find this very hard to believe. It’s on every hotline they listen to all day. Signs plastered, loudspeakers, word of mouth. It’s all everybody’s talking about all day everywhere.

yes.
The only news they get is" kol haloshon", which may be pretty good actually. im guessing they actually do a good job getting out the news (dont feel like calling in now, system makes you listen to advertising before you can get the news)
Realize that most men in Williamsburg do not speak English well.Does not mean they are not business savvy, but, for the many yeshiva boys, who know very little English, the kolel members, the melamdim,all these people, who little outside exposure, do not get the real picture.From the one side they are more protected from outside secular influences, but dont get pertinent info either

Just because they are aware, doesn't mean they are aware of how serious it is and how quickly things are changing.
