It' a good line and true, but it's an issue when that humble mentality leads to analysis paralysis or over exaggerating uncertainty. Too many times we have experts claiming "We still don't know anything about COVID!" or "we don't know if vaccines will prevent transmission!". Oh yes, you do, you know more than enough to make many practical decisions with confidence.

Experts should be bold, confident, and stop downplaying their knowledge.
If only these guys would admit to "we don't know or understand anything, we're just trying our best out of an abudance of caution because no human really knows or understands this virus" I think they (and the Gedaliah Society in Crown Heights) would have more credibility and adherence.
Humility is great, but decisive statements are better than humble ones when the prevailing attitude is “nobody knows anything, so I’ll do whatever I want”.

Can you please type that in Yiddish, then I might understand what you’re trying to say :P

In a way, it is a Machlokes Rambam & Raaved

I'm not sure why my statement would need to conflict with yours. Humility doesn't mean you have to pretend to be an idiot with no self esteem. It means you understand that your knowledge is only from Hashem and it's nothing compared to God's infinite knowledge. With that in mind, you can be a humble yet helpful expert that people can rely on.

I usually prefer Yiddish written with the alphabet (I "read" Yiddish by sounding it out, as I've discussed in the past). But here I truthfully don't understand...

A literal translation would be "You have to know where in and where out". In other words, you have to know in which situation to act/apply something one way, and in which situation to act/apply something a different way.

Lol, agreed

Here's an argument if you must - is Fauci bold and confident or dishonest?

Fauci is a good example of bold and confidence for the most part, but unfortunately he's also dishonest.

טוב שברופאים לגיהנום

Just don't forget, according to Rashi that is in part because he is so knowledgeable that he never gets sick and is never prodded to do Teshuva.

Fauci is a far cry from טוב שברופאים, and sometimes he makes me feel like even גיהנום wouldn’t fix him... :P

59.1 million doses administered in the US, at least 16.9 million people are post second dose.

So basically, Pfizer originally just went very conservative on everything. It paid off.

Is this going into effect immediately? I guess lotsa wasted doses could have been used.
