Also heard on the news that NY may have begun plateauing as well but will have to wait a few days to know for sure. Besuros tovos!

Hmmmm Nice if true.
The thing with the hamster is that running on the wheel is actually what it is trying to do.

Cautiously hoping (and davening) for good news. Not to be too negative in this thread, but this article states:

Borrelli also noted with a measure of satisfaction that the number of those hospitalized but not in ICU beds also has decreased.

Its a net decrease, but how much of it is attributable to discharged patients vs. patients escalated to ICU (or RL worse...)?

Details on the study? Double-blind controlled? How many patients?

tbh I skimmed it and missed that, I guess we need to hope the trend continues, the numbers are staggering.

No study at all. Just a reporter noting how the 2 matched up.

Source? Is this all over or in a specific hospital?

There's at least 2 other ways to looks at this -
-There was no need for us to be pioneers and lose so many of our brethren. If we stayed home from before Purim we would have saved so many.
-Hashem has his plans regardless, so both what I'm quoting and the above reason are meaningless.

I missed that part. It said that their extended stay was (even at a reduced rate) chipping away at their savings.

ridiculous thing to say, first of all its not true, to prove it the numbers are staggering even in places that Jewish people have not stepped in to, 2nd of all, from first places to have confirmed cases amongst us yidden was a institution probably the most polar opposite to do with chassidim!! Hameivin yavin!!
Plz let this FAKE NEWS stop creating sinas chinum against each other and then maybe Hashem will have rachamim on us and be mvatel this terrible gzeira from upon us!!

I don't know about you, but most people I spoke to, including me, are staying home for pesach.

That's a funny sentence.  ;)
