wish it was true but this guy is a wackadoodle and plenty of fraud in other papers of his.
also, it was such a bad study and like 3 of the treated pts crashed and had to go to the ICU, but conveniently they were removed from the "treated" group so they can still have 100% success.

unlikely to even work as prophylaxis, plenty of ppl on this drug for rheumatoid arthritis and lupus are still coming into the hospitals with covid
It is being used enough at this point that we will have more numbers.

Coumo announced, the number of people being released from the hospital is increasing. I dont know if its because of the treatment or because there are more people admitted every day. Or a combination.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/lisettevoytko/2020/03/29/cuomo-extends-new-york-social-distancing-guidelines-to-april-15-after-easter-trumps-preferred-end-date/#395a29d821e8

Good news:
“Cuomo said the hospitalization rate is now doubling every six days, as opposed to every two or three days, and the rate of daily intubations for coronavirus patients is also trending downward.

“The doubling rate is slowing and that is good news, but the number of cases are still going up. so you're still going up towards an apex, but the rate of the doubling is slowing,” said Cuomo.“

It’s talking about new daily numbers, not cumulative, which is good.

unless ppl need oxygen support they are being sent home, which is usually after 1-8 days of symptoms.
Day 8-10 is when they usually come back and within 48 hours they crash onto ventilators.
they stay on ventilators for a while, and then either get better or decline.
ICU beds are filling up fast, actual non-covid ICU pts are being moved to lobbies and the like to make room.

Dr zelenko claims that there are "ZERO" critical cases in Monroe.
because he treats early on.

Dr zelenko claims that there are "ZERO" critical cases in Monroe.
because he treats negatives.

FTFY-as in his claim that 90% have it based on a 60% positive rate among those with strong enough symptoms to be tested.
He has made many claims not borne out by numbers. He has come out looking great to the Cernovitzes of the world and the professionals are all questioning hos findings.

they are at higher risk for complications of corona but if it helped to prevent infection (as its used for malaria prophylaxix) then they should be protected from initial infection- but they aren't.

yeah, problem is raoult is big in france no matter that hes a whackadoodle and lots of fraud in his papers. but hes powerful.
plus the risks of hydroxychloroquine are easily managed (retinal toxicity is only relevant for 1-5 years of treatment and cardiac toxicity can be checked by monitoring an EKG pre and during treatment) so its more of a what do you have to lose type of situation. chloroquine is more toxic but as long as u don't overdose the risks are manageable the same way.

If they are immune deficient then why wouldn't they continue to be at risk?

its hard to calculate severity as a percentage unless u know the exact numbers infected, exactly how many get hospitalized, and decline from there.
But with all this craziness everything (including severity) is really anecdotal since no one has real numbers (and the population isn't being fully tested to say the least)

ppl with rheumatoid arthritis and lupus aren't immune deficient, in fact just the opposite.
They only become immune deficient (or technically immune-modulated) by the hydroxychloroquine drug- which is now being advocated for treatment. Theoretically that makes everyone treated for it with corona "immune deficient"

no percentage. No calculations.
I did not hear a single serious case out of Monroe.

He had 4 hospitalizations as of last week. Previously he bragged about none.
We have no idea how severe the symptoms are of the people he’s treating to know if it’s working. It’s also not a long time since he started his treatments.

Or even if they are positive for the virus.
