Perhaps some insight why some spread the virus and most don't

A friend’s mother, who is head of Infectious Disease at a major hospital in PA (not near a large Jewish community) reported that there is now a second wave of patients after a lull with nearly none. However, the first wave of patients were hospitalized on average for 5-8 days, while the new wave of patients are being hospitalized on average for 2-5 days.

This is good news, as it can *possibly* mean A) the virus is somewhat weaker or B) treatment modalities are improving. However, it can also be explained by C) the demographics being younger or healthier (as those at higher risk may be taking greater precautions).

This mirrors what we've seen in Florida over the summer. I believe the reasons are a combination of A, B, and C. We still saw several thousand deaths here during that period, so it's still deadly, but it's very likely that it will not be a repeat of March and April, as long as there are no other factors that complicate things, like a simultaneous outbreak of the flu.

Can you ask her opinion on the public wearing masks?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I could try to ask at some point but I know she has her daughter wear masks when indoors and not social distancing

Very first paragraph.
Antibodies that people make to fight the new coronavirus last for at least four months after diagnosis and do not fade quickly as some earlier reports suggested, scientists have found.

The truth we know very little so any documented scientific news is a chiddush.

The average coronavirus produces antibodies that can start to run out in as early as 3-6 months, but generally last up to a year. There was a question as to whether Sars-CoV-2 was going to be different, but it is tracking to be somewhat similar so far.

But the hope is that even if they run out they will be חזר וניעור the question is for how long though.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-virus-progress-report-11599001150?mod=mhp

“Hospitalizations are down by 62% in Texas, 60% in Florida, 48% in Utah, 45% in California, and 44% in Louisiana from their peaks, which all occurred between July 21 and 24. Arizona’s hospitalizations began increasing in late May, a week or two earlier than in most states, and have fallen 78% since topping out July 12“

I asked, and she believes masks are essential to slowing transmission, wears a mask, and requires her children to as well
