I guess you believe we are past the containment stage? Every expert has said test, test, test and isolate.

Agreed. It was done in New Rochelle which is nowhere as dense. I said from the outset that once it reaches our shores, the Jewish communities would become the epicenter.

Dr. Fauci on CNN just said testing everyone is a good idea but it is not the top priority since we don't currently have capacity to do that.

BH I moved out of Brooklyn I cant imagine being stuck in that tiny Apt with all children more then a day, BH

I always wanted to invite those that make noise by the kaporos centers to come see how we put our children to sleep/play/live

The point of testing is to get others serious about it by revealing a number closer to reality, some criticized Asisa for letting everyone test, however that led to the white house conference call which led to closing all shuls - in my opinion

Testing vs no testing - the people that aren't getting tested are more likely to be less cautious and more likely to spread.
Many times they are told that's it's nothing and they shouldn't worry. And many people, unless they have confirmation, will naturally be less cautious. They also won't tell people that they may have exposed them to it, continuing the chain.

Agreed. This is not a time to be selfish, its a time to save lives. I have not gone further than a few feet after my house, and thats without being exposed. (as far as I know.)

I have a neighbor that has 1 of the symptoms. She told one of the neighbors but she didn't tell us.
Happening everywhere.

Agreed. I'm sick right now, but I'm not leaving my house to get a test because that seems counter-intuitive to me. Unless I need the ER ch"v, I won't get a test. Since I don't have a test confirming, it doesn't feel right to put out a notice that everyone who's been in my proximity in the last two weeks should quarantine...

Being exposed and having the virus are not the same. We need to do everything we can to keep the numbers down.

You got the first part right but the second part wrong.

If "everyone" you're referring to are part of the Jewish community, there's no need for you to "put out a notice" because they either are sick themselves or should already know that there's no way they weren't exposed yet (unless they were quarantined since before Purim).

...but they also need to know who has tested positive to make sure they stay away from them.

Yup. The difference being people who can leave their houses to pick up groceries and essentials for those who can't
