I don't think it's wrong to report that orthodox communities were hit harder by Corona (if we were), it's a byproduct of our communal lifestyle. It matters how the reporting is done.

It is a 100% fact that there is or will be anti-Semitism related to Coronavirus. It will be so blatant you wont have to guess about the reporting.

I can't speak about New York, but in New Jersey - at least as of a few days ago - the official numbers in Orthodox communities were equal to or less than other areas.

The index cases - the first 8 or so cases, were in counties that did not have major Jewish communities (not in Ocean, or even Passaic Counties). Some were in Bergen's Jewish community, but a small percentage. Most of the other early cases were traced to a Biogen meeting, nothing related to the Jewish community. Even as number started to escalate, and Lakewood started reporting cases, it was consistent with the size of the town, one of NJ's largest. It may rise faster because of community dynamics, but the community is almost entirely avidly social distancing, and the few exceptions are getting a disproportionate amount of press.

I live on a block in BP that has 2 houses total out of about 80 that are owned by one goy with goyish tenants. There was an outside minyan with good separation and one of the tenants who is an anti-semite without this came out shabbos morning cursing and yelling.
