Allstate just sent me an email offering this offer for free through end of year

https://www.allstateidentityprotection.com/

Anyone with any experience or input if worthwhile?
I have a friend who is an agent for Allstate, he told me the reason they do this is because they want you to get you hooked on the add on (gimmick) service so when you have the opportunity to switch to a cheaper provider you'll stay with them because you don't want  to lose your identity protection. He said he's seen it with people who he quoted much lower rates but they stick with their current insurer due to a small add on gimmick like phone insurance.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

My insurance gave a discount only because I am not driving to work, and only using car for essentials

Surely this is flawed, as even those driving regularly are still at less risk of accident due to less traffic in general.
Or is this not a given

This is why many insurances are giving back some of the premiums for these months.

From Progressive:
Quote
Personal auto premium credit
If you have an active personal auto policy at the end of April or May, you will be receiving a 20% premium credit. There is nothing you need to do. We will calculate your credit for you at the end of that month, and you’ll see it in your Progressive account a few weeks after that. It’s all automatic—our plan is to provide you a confirmation message when each credit is in your account.
WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY
To receive a credit of 20% of your April premium, your personal auto policy must be active at the end of April. Similarly, to receive a credit of 20% of your May premium, your personal auto policy must be active at the end of May.

WHEN YOU'LL RECEIVE YOUR CREDIT
We’ll calculate your credit within a few weeks of the end of April and May. You’ll receive your credit shortly after that.

HOW YOUR CREDIT WILL BE APPLIED
Once we’ve calculated the credit for your policy, we’ll automatically apply it to any outstanding balance or your next bill. And if you’re already paid in full, we’ll return the credit amount directly to your payment account or issue you a check.

HOW TO ESTIMATE YOUR CREDIT
Because your premium can change throughout the month due to renewal or policy changes you request, we can’t tell you exactly what your credit will be until the end of the month. But you can get a sense of what your credit will be by taking 20% of your normal monthly premium.

For example, if your 6-month policy premium is normally $900, one month of premium would be roughly $150. In that situation, you’d be likely to receive a credit of $30 for April. Then, if your policy stays active, you’d receive an additional $30 for May. Keep in mind that unique policy and billing situations may apply. And if you bought a policy after the first of the month, your credit will be prorated—we’ll base it off of the amount of time you were insured with us that month.

These credits are subject to approval by your state regulators.

They are giving back to be proactive and not have the regulators force them to give back even more.

Is there a way to see on geico app or site what mileage is set for now? I prefer not to call them and wait on hold forever these days to talk to someone for such an easy question.

Just called, did not wait on hold. They said they're policy is to temp lower mileage to the minimum through June 30 & someone would reach out then to see if your're still being affected by COVID-19 or not.
Got back a nice amount.

Liberty Mutual:

Due to the continued impact of COVID-19, we will be waiving late fees and pausing cancellation on unpaid policies until further notice, or as directed by your state.
    • Temporarily, we will not be canceling any policies resulting from an inability to pay.
    • Auto insurance customers will receive a 15% refund on two months of their auto premiums, as of April 7, 2020, pending regulatory approval.
    • We are planning to issue the refund in the manner you made your most recent payment or by check. Your refund will happen automatically, and you do not need to call us to get your refund.

Lowering my milage saved me $25 a month
did you change coverage on any vehicles to storage only or just asked for a discount?
is it it possible to put a second vehicle under storage coverage with geico? I called and asked if there's any cheaper policy for my second vehicle that's been parked for 2 months and won't be used for a while and was told only option is to reduce mileage or remove from policy and turn in the plates
Common sense is not a gift, it is a punishment.
Because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

A month? How much is your insurance?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

    Just called Geico.
    a) They'll be giving an across the board 15% reduction at some point.
    b) I reduced  my annual expected miles driven and that gave me a reduction.  We used my current miles driven per week and multiplied by 50.

Just got my statement from GEICO with a pleasant surprise. Although the advertisements were saying that GEICO would reduce the renewal rate by 15%, instead they refunded me 15% against the last month before my renewal. Together with a refund for the three primary drivers taking defensive driving courses while stuck at home, the May premium was $52 for three cars.

And that's with $0 deductible for glass on the model 3 (which should cover the entire roof I figure?)
