I actually pay just under 2k
But I unfortunately had an at fault accident in 10.2018, was rear ended in 8.2019, and another at fault accident with medical costs in 9.2019.

Just under $2k isn't horrible. Not much more than I'm paying. I find it interesting they gave you the 15% off of the pre-discount quote. Progressive is giving 20% of what you actually pay as a rebate.

You all make me jealous. Or maybe you should all be jealous of me since I saved so much more than you?

You got 15% off your entire 6 month Bill. Most are only getting it off a month or two

So iiuc, Geico is 1 time 15% credit on the 6 mo policy and Progressive is 2× 0.2%×(policy÷6) (May, June).
Geico is much more generous then.

Seems like it's their official policy.
From Geico:
Quote
To help provide support during COVID-19, we're giving our auto, motorcycle, and RV policyholders a 15% credit on your next 6-month or 12-month policy term. On average, customers can expect about $150 per auto policy without having to do anything.

If Progressive gives their 20% discount for 4.5 months they'll have given a larger discount than Geico.
In some states this is a real possibility as they've passed legislation that insurers must return premiums that outweigh risk daring back to the Emergency Declaration (mid March in most states).

Depends. If Geico is giving Covid discounts on the quote before applying the insurance-specific discounts, Geico wins. @cholent got around 25% on the full 6 months, all said and done.

Good point. Guess 15 minutes does really save you 15% or more...

did they automatically add a new coverage to the policy?
When my Geico policy in FL renewed it went up by $900 cuz they automatically added a new uninsured motorist coverage. They claim to have sent a notice in the mail about the new coverage with the ability to opt out.
   The GEICO Giveback Credit
We appreciate your patience while we worked to apply The GEICO Giveback Credit to your policy. The 15% credit of $352.38 has been applied to your policy.

I got my 15% credit before lowering my coverage.
I have 2 vans. my 6 month premium after the credit is now $1,310.90
Common sense is not a gift, it is a punishment.
Because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Anyone know what will happen if I switch from Geico after month 1 of receiving the discount? My 6 month saving was all put into this month so will they calculate that into the six moths if I leave Geico after this month? I paid About $50 for this month.
