i have all classic symptoms but local doctors just seem to say hunker down and let it pass. was wondering if thats what everyone is doing or everyone is getting tested. if no one is getting tested, wouldnt that skew accurate numbers significantly?

Don't you realise that they figured out a great way to flatten the curve.
Less tests means less new cases.
The only problem with this is that the death percentage is very skewed.

Just watch the death curve. They can't skew that.
We have no idea how many cases are out there. We want the death curve to change.

If you only test those that are showing all the signs it will be skewed towards positive. Just like the death rate is skewed toward the high side.

Why is that skewed. I’m assuming they are only testing people who actually suspect they have been affected. I’m curious as to what the actual number of people are infected vs people who think they are.

They are not testing everyone who thinks they may be infected. They need to have serious symptoms.

It's also skewed that certain clinics in certain areas have WAY more available tests than anyone else. (Nevermind that same areas mentioned, that if you line up to get tested your likely to get it while waiting..)

I have severe sore throat, feels like its on fire, along w mild weakness from wednesday. Tonight i started running a fever around 101. Went to doctor, got a throat culture but doc said they dnt test for corona anymore. Noone does
