Got a call over Yom Tov they left me a message that I'm a candidate to donate plasma. They didn't leave a call back number so will see if they call me again.

Can she still spread it though? I’m with you that we can’t be too cautious, but there might be good science behind what many are saying.

ETA: also, how did she manage to get retested? Where is she located?

Heard the same person was tested positive after 3 weeks of no symptoms.
Now we really need to understand how long can someone actually stay contagious..

From @Dan 's description of the test, it sounds like they are testing respiratory secretions for the virus itself.  If it is there (positive), it can be expelled as respiratory droplets (contagious). I would imagine that smaller quantities of the virus (recuperated/recuperating) would make it harder for the virus to find a new home. I am not a medical doctor, but this is my understanding.

Look up Typhoid Mary...  She continued to shed Typhoid for the rest of her life and caused a couple outbreaks.  Definitely not the norm.

she had all symptoms a day after purim.  never got tested.  now she wanted to join my parents for pesach so she said she will retest.  and she is pregnant so i guess that worked as an excuse

Might be because administrative is working from home. Saw that the DOL is reportedly calling back claimants from Private Number, with a promise to call back if you don't answer due to majority of the staff telecommuting.
