Next plot twist. My wife got tested now:I'm flabbergasted.
My neighbor was sick in bed for 2 weeks at home. Tested his entire family and only he had antibodies.
Is there a poll for people who tested + for COVID weeks-months ago, tested positive for antibodies, and then test + for COVID but have been fully recovered for weeks-months?
Quotes in a signature is annoying, as it comes across as an independent post.
There isn’t a specific poll for that but anecdotally it’s happened a lot
-1 very rare with 1 positive for virus 2 positive for antibodies 3 negative for virus and 4 then positive for virus
I tested positive for COVID in March. Has 2 positive antibody tests (April and May), positive COVID test in May. Anyone else in a similar boat?
I've spoken to a few doctors. Bottom line is that some people will stay positive for a very long time and having antibodies doesn't mean that you turned negetive. You get antibodies in the beginning but you can continue to be positive for much longer. Most also believe that when you're showing positive after a long time and you are feeling fine it's probably the test picking up some dead covid (my expression) and even if it is live somehow they believe that it's not contagious.
There have been a number of studies already on this. It's currently believed to be the case in the majority of cases.
Did you test negative in April?
Crazy.
Don’t -1 me when that’s not what I or he said. Step 3 was a new element added by you. 1,2, and 4 have happened to many people I know.
No, May was the first time i retested. Most likely is dead particles that the PCR test cannot differentiate. However, its still not assuring.
Just making sure I was correct This is fairly common, as I said earlier. Many people are still testing positive 6+ weeks later.
