The changes aren't across the board for all companies. Notably Guardian and NYL have special programs, and IINM Penn Mutual increased their limits.

Can you buy apply for any of those online or do you have to speak to someone?

how much should a 1m policy cost a healthy 24 year old unmarried male (non smoker) also what term should I get.

You need to speak to an agent, though once the agent starts the process you can complete most of it online yourself.

What's the purpose of an unmarried person purchasing term life insurance?

If you need an agent to help you with your options, I know one very well. 😉

idk, take the opportunity now to do it without an exam, will probably need to get it eventually.

If you don't have a real need for it, but will eventually need it, why not get an overfunded whole life with a guaranteed option to increase coverage in the future without an exam?

before you jump into whole life make sure you wouldn't be better off just paying for term and investing the difference separately.
