You know who you are.

If normal retail price is under $2 per mask for an n95, stop trying to mark them up to insane prices (I've seen $7 as the low and over $20 as the high). You're endangering people's lives. It's also potentially against state and soon to be federal law.

I asked a Dayan about this, and he told me it was permissible to report people suspected of hoarding/price gouging to the authorities.

$2 is high. They are normally less than $1.

Why would you ask a Dayan if you can report people?

I don't understand why ppl are obsessed with masks? If you're healthy with no symptoms, you are not supposed to wear it. I see ppl in the streets with masks, touching it every 2 minutes, taking it off to talk on the phone then putting it back and touching their face, eyes, etc. Masks are for sick ppl to not spread it, or for doctors for a short use.
Wash your hands with soap, this will help you.

Problem is that most places you'll see these prices are retailers that paid a high price themselves. The wholesaler bought them at a retail price from the first place (i.e. Costco, Walmart etc), and they are the one trying to make the huge profit margin.
It's not that easy to find this "wholesaler". I know many places that sell masks for $2 for a very small margin profit.

You plan to report all the ddfers hoarding cases of sanitizers from past deals too ?

My objective is that the equipment gets to those who need it but don't have unlimited funds.

But dont open a new thread in a few months to help save the people that have fines etc. for hoarding goods - to save them.

People who have the stuff now have ample time to get rid of it before the laws go into effect...

Yup. Local convenience store charging $8 for an 8oz off-brand sanitizer insists he paid $6 for it. (Didn’t stop some of them from being shut down, though)

You don't hoard masks when the hospitals are short on them. Lets use some common sense.

I'm talking about groceries in Brooklyn and I know the managers/owners, I do believe them.
