I tried to go in Empire Kosher in CH this morning, as a salesman not a shopper, the security guard didn't let le in unless I buy their $2 mask (not even a N95).

At what point do we say that paying gouged prices is supporting the gougers and we don’t do this, similar to how we don’t pay ransom so as not to encourage further kidnappings?

We should demand our government force companies to make these items. Compensate the companies accordingly.

Anyway, what good are surgical masks for doctors working with infected patients? If a patient coughs or sneezes in the doctors' or nurses' face they will almost certainly catch the virus without an N95 mask!

This is very different, it's supply and demand. There is a limit to what they can charge - whatever everyone else is charging. Ransom has no limit to what they can charge, if they want $100m you can't "get the person from someone else".

Hospitals are @SS backwards. That's why. Hospitals only deal with approved vendors who rip them off. That's the rule.

Masks are used for many different things. Surgical masks are mainly to protect the patient.
