Someone should do something like that for the niftorim here as well. Seeing the list with the pictures and a short biographical sketch of each person really drives home the magnitude of the tragedy.

The number of yidden who died is terrible but I don't see anything there that denotes that yidden are dying at a significantly higher rate other than in England. (Morroco and argentina are a very small sample size). Also keep in mind many yidden live in denser areas and our way of life includes much social interaction.

Regardless, we are supposed to view everything Hashem sends as a message. Israel got hit much lighter and Chu”l got hit much harder, what message is he sending? I don’t think the message is Pikuach Nefesh, the majority of deaths were caused by circumstances we could not have been expected to realize prematurely.

There was a big sign at the entrance to all his stores explaining that unfortunately some mistakes always happen and begging forgiveness for any inadvertent errors, and promising mechila for any customer errors as well.
