My immediate relative has now lost another uncle, her 5th close family member to pass away from COVID.

Had COVID did not die from COVID. That's the problem with all of these "COVID" deaths

I hear. This is how he appeared to many in Shaagas Aryeh which is leading people to the above conclusion but I guess that is incorrect.

It’s possible you are referring to R’ Yosef Weiss, not R’ Waldman.

Re: R’ Weiss, I have heard from people close to him that while he was ill for some time he was not expected to die any time soon until COVID hit him (very hard). I don’t know much about it though.

Covid caused R' Weiss to not eat for weeks and he lost a massive amount of weight, leaving him a shell of himself.
