Is it time to go back to work?
« on: March 27, 2020, 07:54:04 AM »
As many now know Trump is looking at Easter for the day to have this country go back to work or what ever you want to call it. Why would he pick a day that falls on a Sunday? Just in case some of you are not familiar with what Easter represents: Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

So did he pick this day because you believe he is a deeply religious man or might there be another reason?

Stop overthinking.   It was random.  Its because its in three weeks.  Its like me saying next spring,  do i mean the actual day spring starts? Or the time of year?

I don't think anything Trump does is random. At times misguided, ill-advised, or flat-out wrong, but never random.

I guess you didn't see the press conference. It was not random at all.

If there was a proper lockdown plan in place, then maybe we can start allowing businesses to go back to work in 3 weeks, but not all at once, and with the proper precautions. But since there isn't, the answer is no.

We missed our chance for a total lockdown from the beginning. Drip drip drip is going to drown us.

Don't think we missed it as much as we're delaying it. I think with the current measures it will take months longer to return to work (safely) than a real lockdown.

If you read only 1 article today, this should be the one.

Pretty sure Easter represents something else to most on here (or at least it should).
