IZ = Israel Zion = Maimonides Hospital

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maimonides_Medical_Center:
Quote
In 1920 Israel Hospital merged with Zion Hospital to form United Israel Zion Hospital, later renamed Israel Zion Hospital. Maimonides Medical Center was formed as a result of the merger of United Israel Zion Hospital and Beth Moses Hospital in 1947.
Hatzolah uses IZ as code for the hospital. So should we. Unless you are really good at spelling.

Covid patients have a variety of different symptoms, and for her symptoms, they might have felt that other treatments would better help her.

I don't have medical training or experience, but these are a few things that come to mind from reading a little on the topic.  Maybe someone with medical knowledge can comment.

I don't have much knowledge either, but last week an old Rov I know contracted COVID, they pulled strings to get him plasma quickly, but right after it was administered his oxygen plummeted and condition worsened. He's feeling a bit better now but it seems like it's not so simple to give plasma even if given early.

Maybe it took a few days for the plasma to work, in the meantime his condition worsened before the plasma kicked in.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

It's possible, but he was doing fine until he got the plasma. As I said previously, I don't know much about plasma to say if it was coincidence or the cause.

My father received the 9th out of 10 doses of the Eli Lilly antibodies available at Kimball last week and he began to do much better soon after receiving it.

Theyre wrong. They care more about money than saving lives.

Totally disgusted by the conflicts of interest in the community that are never disclosed. Hatzolah has members who are employees and board members of Maimonides. There was always some financial connection, like family members of Hatzolah members working for them. But now its out and out conflicts. Hatzolah members who brought patients to Maiminides and then, in their hospital employee or board member capacity, refuse to allow patients to be transferred out. Or make it difficult. Criminal.

I don't know what stories you are talking about but I sure would like to hear them. You and I both know patients/health care proxies can sign out AMA.

legalities? To you it's a catch 22, if they follow protocol that's bad, if they don't follow protocol and the person dies everyone will say they killed them... There is no easy way to say this (I don't know every case that happened, but I do know quite a few) not everyone was it possible for them to survive unfortunately.
Before blaming the hospital understand all the details.
The protocols aren't put in place to kill people.

Then they c"v would really need to worry about legalities.

they weren't given immunity to go against protocol. Everything regarding the treatments has to be within protocol.
And yes the doctor's do care.

You’re right, we employ the absolute lowest form of human as doctors. They care far less about human life than you and everyone you know. That’s why they went into the field- to murder people.

This actually worked very well when it came to treating patients outside the hospital setting in March and April. Ask any Nurse, NP, PA, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist who was using this to their benefit back then.

CMIIW, but the COVID protocol in the first couple months was “try whatever you think might work”. Blaming protocol for not trying experimental treatments is a weak excuse.

Every hospital has different protocols today. Instead of looking at other hospitals and seeing what works they stick to their protocol. There is a lot of ego that is involved. To have to beg a hospital to give Remdesvir or plasma or Actemra is not a normal situation. All these things actually happened in various different hospitals. Doctors refused because it would skew their research. Thats criminal. that's not compassionate care. That is murder to protect our numbers. It happened. When a hospital asks a patient to submit and consent to "voluntary intubation" and that patient refuses and goes elsewhere against medical advice and is treated aggressively without intubation and comes home then there is something very very wrong. This exact thing happened in Maimonides.
