If so, I know people who will possibly enter the secular workforce.

Talk about the law of unintended consequences.
Absurd.
Just say you're a germaphobe and shake noone's hand.

Just say you're a germaphobe and shake noone's hand.

Lol no one in the real world does that.

Explaining why you won't participate in a basic social custom is possible but always awkward, and by the time you've gotten the words out you've already made the faux pas and it's TBD if you recover from it. If you happen to work in NYC and wear a yarmulka, a high percentage of people will know you're about to say you won't shake for religious reasons and most of the time you can avoid the awkwardness. But until the social custom changes for everyone it's silly to pretend that not shaking hands is an easy thing to do.

Altogether.
I don't see major lasting changes coming from this.
I would imagine major lasting changes to the cruise industry.
And minor changes such as more remote work, telemedicine..., and some people probably won't go back to work altogether.

Like what?

Hopefully any residual effects of Corona on life as we knew it are productive in that they actually make a difference. Post-9/11 security theater is a colossal waste of time and money, giving the ignorant masses a false sense of security and giving government the reassurance/proof that theyíre doing something.

Just say you're a germaphobe and shake noone's hand.

Or you can be honest and say the truth. Most of the time they respect that. I have sometimes said I would gladly shake your husbands hand and my wife would shake yours...

I'm assuming they're not in business because they don't want to say the truth.
But I think being a germaphobe going forward will be more common.

Would you gladly shake her wife's hand as well?

Maybe, but it can be hard to sell the germaphobe story while wearing a yarmulka. Many will see right through it.

So trying to figure out when quarantine will be lifted and the variables involved. What is the point that the government decides to let everyone out again?

The question is other countries, how long has it taken for them to go back to normal? The problem is we can't trust China, and Italy is definitely not back to normal. We just have to wait and see.

I know someone who despite being prepared slipped up at a job interview and after a long conversation with his Rebbe took a job in Lakewood that paid significantly less. Are you all saying with confidence that itís easy to do and you all do it? I didnít think so.

PS: Long story but an interesting sequence of events that he couldnít have foreseen ended up with him making a lot more money than he would have elsewhere within a very short time but thatís irrelevant.

Nah, if you're serious about not shaking hands they'll be just fine with it. If you pick and choose then, yes.
