You or I do not get decide if the law is serous or not. It is a requirement and needs to be followed if you want to fly. If someone is too stupid to understand that then don't fly.

i dont think anyone is condoning violence. but there are two ways of handling this mask policy and there crews who like enforcing it just too much, and especially at this point those people should give it a rest.
when biden made his EO on masking on planes, im assuming in consultation with the airlines(remember the airlines behind the scenes were begging for this) had put into the script that you must wear a mask while sleeping, eating and drinking -if we can see the tip of your nose you are in violation and we will ask you a few times to place it back on if you dont comply you will be removed from the airplane. so on a recent flight the FA said this over prob 4 times and then again an added we will have to fly back and go to gate to remove you if you dont comply. thats not following a rule thats heading towards tyrant or at the very least nurse ratchet. on my return flight there was a new FA and he was very nice. read from the script once maybe reminded about the mask one other time but other then that he was fine, no issues. one person near me while eating took off his mask entirely even when he was finished and he just nicely asked him to put back on his mask and he did so, and no the guy didnt stand by him watching as he did it. he told him and went along his business.
there are two ways of handling "rules" and at this point in the pandemic i think its time to relax these rules and honestly take them away all togethr. march 18 is the next deadline but it seems bec kids are not vaccinated there using that as an excuse to renew it yet again.
at this point is all politics, lets face it ending the mask mandate on planes signals return to normalcy and the people who run the world are not ready for that yet.
masks in general are weird and ugly and according to cnn cloth mask are just facial decorations. according to joe bidens former advisor cloth masks were never good at stopping this virus, he said that back in april of 2020 we knew that even though he kind of kept that a secret until a year and a half later, so good for him.
and even for the studies that say mask do work, NOT the way were wearing them they don't, and even if they did very little and with omicron they pretty much did nothing since everyone caught the thing.
and if you do believe 100% in the maks, then by all means continue to wear them, leaa wenn (spelling wrong) said we have to consider one way masking works! (remeber the lie i wear a a mask to protect you and you were one to protect me) well did you consider the fact that term hasnt been used since like 1918 whn they tried mandating masks back which it didnt really work out so well.
its time to end all mask mandates and really take stock if mask mandates (again not mask wearing) did in any real way cause the reduced transmission in this virus over all.
