All 5 businesses I entered in the past 2 weeks had signs saying masks required, and 2 said something like No business conducted without a mask. 
 

Lol, every business here in NY has multiple such signs. They work about as well as אסור לדבר בשעת התפילה signs

There are pockets of areas where masks are more prevalent, and pockets where they are less prevalent. I've found that in many areas where there are lots of tourists, masks are virtually non-existent.

Makes sense that tourists aren't wearing. After all the mask forever crowd, still hasn't been out to the grocery, never mind actually traveling on a plane!

Methods:
Store now has a sign saying masks are not required for the fully-vaccinated.  Did a quick walk through the entire store, about 8:45 AM, counting mask wearers (including masks only over mouth - or chin). 

Results:
Workers (Walmart associates, a couple suited managers, and a few distributors stocking shelves)
23 masked
13 unmasked
= 64% masked

Customers
56 masked
9 unmasked
=86% masked

Conclusions:
The fresh cherries and mangoes and blueberries are amazing!

Other studies show that using Trader Joe's as a control caused the quality of the produce to decrease significantly.

How can we be sure none of the test subjects weren't double counted? Inasmuch as the abstract noted speed being of prime importance in the methodology, the locale of the trial leads to the conclusion that there were at least 4 mobility scooters and it is doubtful the researchers could have kept pace.

I had been concerned about double counting before I began, as well as people leaving or entering in the middle of my experiment.  But as a former New Yorker, I walk really fast and shoppers who pause to search for items or to consider prices turn out to be really slow.  And early in the morning there's little activity in the clothing and hardware aisles. So I was able to zip around and get my data before anyone moved very far, and before anyone accosted me to question my scurrying and spying activity.

The comments.... It's as if it never crossed their mind for a second that maybe no one is killing anyone at this point by not wearing a mask if you're vaccinated. I wonder how they reconcile it with going into stores maskless. Pilot obviously shouldn't have said that, but his frustration is understandable, not acceptable while representing Delta, but understandable.
