Woman live longer than men in general (genetics), men drink more, men smoke more. For frum communities, I'd expect the % of men to be higher before they were social distancing / quarantining just because of Purim, minyanim, learning, more woman home with kids, etc.

Dont want to mess up this thread with another question but...What is the average death toll in NYC or our community on any given day and what by percentage is it higher. I know that Shomrei Hadas funeral home can have 6-8 levayos on any given Sunday. This week they had 40+.

Probably underreported. People post about their Rabbis and people they know, they may not know their wives.

No, but we don't really know the infection rate of any group in the world, given the lack of testing and inaccuracies of the tests that have been given.
