So many topics you can add to the magazine...like a halacha recap or small section with interesting shailos that came up across DDF..

Love the idea! That's takes DansDeals and DDF to a while new level!

I can't find the feature list I made for this concept (in 2017), but we can perhaps make a wiki with suggestions?

Some ideas to start (some may have been mentioned in this thread by others):

Kosher Travel Hacks
Jewish Home Hacks
Travel & Halacha (ask a rabbi or just op-ed)
Community Feature (each issue focuses on an interesting Jewish community that makes for a good travel destination)
Top 10 List (i.e. coolest secret spots in Israel, remotest chabad houses, largest frum owned companies, craziest treks, off the beaten path destinations)
User Poll (with Dan's rating/review - before each issue we run a poll on DDMS for things like favorite CC, airline, restaurant, destination etc then print the results)
Photo Contest (or just featured travel photos. Can also have a "guess the city" option)
Trip Reports (edited by a pro)
Airport Code (Random factoids about interesting airports like LUA, MLE, OKC/FTC)
Kosher Meme (for those that don't do social media)
Funny Corner (jokes, one liners, anecdotes etc)
Separate CC Supplement (so it can be removed before shabbos/chag)
MHT (like DDMS HT but for magazine content)

The TR section with pictures would be a great hit, being that you rarely see a kosher trip getaway and ideas featured in a magazine, with ideas and tips how to eat and stay kosher while traveling.. and how to book such a trip (whats my options, cash? Miles? ...)
And different ideas to do on a vocation in such and such a place.. the ideas are endless but what a solid magazine that can be made out of this.
And of course ads to fund the magazine... The hardest decision is do you charge for the magazine or can you rely solo on the ads for the paper or do you need to charge a bare minimum, which would take away many of those from being able to read the paper, as they don't have that extra few bucks to purchase a paper every week or every 2nd week.

But Love the idea and it won't be easy to start.(Because the ideas and articles are endless!!)

You can take threads like pros and cons of where you live and make an article every week with a whole list of pros and cons of a select locations, and why you would and wouldn't want to live in X place.

Taking DDF/DD and putting it on paper for those who love Dans stuff but don't have access to the Internet or don't have the extra time to read through it, but would go through it when on a paper and allows him and his kids to read it...

So many random ideas that would make such a great paper.
Just one idea.. many travel domestically or internationally and wait on the long lines. Now I don't have TSA/GE mobile passport... Well this credit cared offers.. or a board on the ddf forum offers for $15-$20 an application fee(that last for 5 years).

I think the focus should be to balance the content so that it will be able to be enjoyed by non-DDers as well. The wider the market, the more of a chance of success it has. Making an ultra DDF would be great for DDFers, but it will leave the rest of the market behind. But making a magazine that is non-DDFer friendly would potentially be a better business model.

I also wouldn't want to have a magazine which is just DDF or DDMS in print. A lot of the ideas listed above are really good, and a magazine would need to offer something unique from what's available online. (The purpose of a magazine is not to help out people without internet).

There's no way that you're going to have quality, unique material that often. I would say monthly is a good goal to aim for eventually.
