But Zoom works.

That's because they were created for different functions.

Our shul was also hacked by a few people showing Nazi content and worse than that too. First the host changed settings to block chatting and screen sharing.

When the hackers saw that, they just joined and we were able to to see their selfie video.

At this point, we are too fed up and are mostly using Zoom via call in telephone.

The damage that live zoom brings is far greater than the benefit. Period.

I also heard some Zoom schools with young children were hacked and shown inappropriate...

It sounds like they’re extending a preexisting ban/prohibition on the internet to Zoom use for education during this crisis, even with dedicated tablets that can only access certain Zoom meetings.

Doesn’t seem to be specifically about Zoom, rather they’re referring to Zoom because that’s what schools/KPhone have been using.

This letter was written in direct response to the fact that specific mosdos in Lakewood were planning on using zoom utilizing the zoom tablet being made available.
