The US Embassy has notified Chaim V’Chessed of a beneficial service which they will be offering to the community next week. The Embassy is supposed to open appointments on Wednesday between 3 and 4pm. Be ready with necessary information and as soon as you see something available in either Yerushalayim or Tel Aviv grab it as fast as you can.

Any updated DPs on online renewal processing time?

I applied 4 weeks ago and it's still processing.
I plan to fly in 4 weeks and starting to get nervous that I won't have it in time. I can update my order for expedited service, but the time-frame for that is 5-7 weeks so it might not get to me in time even with the faster service.
At the 5 week mark the expedited (5-7 week processing) option becomes free. I added it to my order on Wednesday, and my passport shipped today!

Today they opened up the whole month of August. I managed to help a few friends and relatives book for CRBAs and passports. Maybe once a month they open a whole month in a shot. I don't actually know their system.
