Online Passport Renewal: Use this link for the Google form

Dan's post describing his experience

After signing up for a Travel.gov account, it takes about 2.5-3 weeks for the invite to be able to renew online.

Anyone do a new passport in Jackson NJ? Do they send to Philly?
I did in Toms River, they told me they were sending it to Philly.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

How is the office, is it kid friendly if I bring a number of children? Anything different due to corona

There was one woman working in the passport room. She was very nice and helpful and gave the kids coloring books, you can definitely bring a bunch of kids. The only difference due to corona was the big plastic divider between the room and the counter.

**As of September, we have completed processing applications received in March and are 92 percent through the applications received in April, May, and June. Due to nationwide variations in staffing and the type of applications, some of our passport agencies and centers are already working on applications received in July and August. If you applied before April and have not received your passport yet, we may have sent you a letter requesting additional information to continue processing your application. Please respond to this letter.

Any way to schedule an in person appt by the post office for renewal these days? The website doesn't let me schedule an appt for renewal. (In NY)
Jury Duty: Nothing to do there but chill and write a TR. Kinda like the beach but missing the view and ocean breeze.

Why not do it yourself ? Very easy !
File out application online, print then out and send them with a pic and a check.

I don't want to deal with mailing passport, I find going into the post office easier

Any recent DP on how long until passport arrives out of Toms River PO? Or anyone doing expedited services these days? I might need it in exactly four weeks, any ideas what to do?

Based on my experience in Toms River and Dans experiance more recently I would suggest going to the PO tomorrow.

For a name change on both passport and passport card, just send in the reg things (application, etc.) and include the passport card ?

This is only true for kid's passports. Not adults
This has been widely reported. Sloppy article
I'm going to guess that's why they say "Due to nationwide variations in staffing and the type of applications, some of our passport agencies and centers are already working on applications received in August and September", if child applications are simpler to process they may be processing them first to keep the backlog number low.
