We were supposed to travel to Mexico tomorrow morning from NYC. Just realized that my child passport expired. Anyone know of a same day passport renewal in NYC that will enable us to fly on Sunday?

Have you called around to any of the passport agencies for tips? I don't know if it's possible now on such short notice, but there's at least one person who has his ways to get appointments and charges $$$.

I made a same day passport in the Stamford office yesterday. 1.5 hours was the total time in took. Great experience.

My oath ceremony is scheduled for June 11 and I need to travel internationally for the birth of a grandchild by the 15th or 16th. I presume you can apply for a U.S. passport immediately following the oath ceremony.

However, when I search the calendar for appointments during the next two weeks there is nothing available.

I imagine it is too risky to go ahead with the ceremony as it is presently scheduled and I better ask for it to be rescheduled.

If I am mistaken and it would be possible to get a passport within a few days of the oath ceremony, please let me know. Thanks.

What about getting into the US?

Depends on country and depends on airline. I'm pretty sure the US doesn't require it when entering the US. It's some foreign countries that don't like it.

One of the biggest myth out there. While some countries have rules requiring 3 months or 6 months it's not a blanket 6 months rule across the board

How long after it started processing or they deposited the check did you receive it?

Yes. Appointment March 19. Received yesterday.

Just wanted to share a DP, I renewed my 5 year old's passport in the Essex County clerks office(it was easy to get an appointment there) with expedited service and it took me exactly 2 weeks from when I submitted to when I received the passport. Not sure if I got lucky or anything, I did put in the application that I plan on travelling in the beginning of September. Don't think that mattered though.

Sharing DP mailed my expired passport for renewal on April 20th 2021 and received my new passport July 24th 2021.

They did not mail me back my old passport, is this the case with everyone else? They used to mail back the old expired passport and love having my old passport, anyways to request my old passport?
