DP went for my baby's passport at USPS, I had to renew mine as well, they processed my baby's and they took mine with my papers and checked it over and mailed it out for $9 shipping label.

Yup, your child they can process, and your's you need to mail in on your own to the passport office. Only infants or new passports and alike does the USPS handle these days. That was nice of them to help you mail it. Then again they would help you do that, If you walked up to the window and told them you needed to mail it out.

Last time i applied for child’s passport was for a lot of money for an appointment that “i booked myself and no one else booked for me.” What does one normally do to apply for a passport in lakewood? We went to post office in GG parking lot they said they dont do passports. So where do we go? Travelling in august Im assuming I can just do regular shipping etc..?

Ocean County resource center on 4th or County Connection in the mall in Toms River.

Post office in Jackson. Not far from GG.

The turnaround is really quick even non expedited.
Did it a few weeks ago. And we got them in just over 2 weeks.

It's about 2 weeks to a month turnaround time now.

Renewal or new passports? I'm waiting on an adult one renewed a month ago, still shows processing.

Yup. Didn’t pay for expedite fee. First time adult applicant, applied in person at a 3rd party acceptance facility (maybe USPS?) in NYC on 5/21 or so, the application status showed they received the application on 5/21, passport arrived in the mail today, 6/6 (the $19.17 per whatever was paid for the upgrade to priority mail).

Received Jun 4th

Application approved Jun 7th

New Passport received Jun 10

Any recent experience at Jackson PO, would I be better off at the Lakewood County Resource Center?

Also when applying for a child's passport do you need to bring a copy of their birth certificate in addition to the original, same for parent's Id's? If so do they need to be color copies?

Do they take the birth certificate and send it in with the application?
