May or may not be true. But if people can't get the medical care at home that they get in the hospital (including nurses, doctors, ventilators, oxygen, respiratory therapists etc.) then it's risky to stay home. I'm stating what's obvious to me, but it clearly isn't obvious to him and might give people the wrong idea.

What may or may not be true is that going to the hospital (for everyone) means risking dying like a rat etc.

Even if someone had a truly awful experience, that doesn't make the experience representative.

My wife had a baby last week at maimonides BH. All went well and everyone was very nice.

The hospital starving him was a little far fetched.

i can tell you that yes it does sound far fetched but its unfortunately true
my father in law was hospitalized in NYU with the virus and had a very similar experience they addressed his medical needs but it took numerous requests and over 24hrs from when he was admitted until they finally brought him something to eat
and it continued that way thru out his entire stay unless he asked multiple times nothing was given to him.

no one is asking for exceptional service i think most people understand the severity of the situation but they cant deny you basic care and then not allow your family to help you either
i understand they don't want people coming in and out of the hospitals but why cant i send them food for example

i don't doubt any horror story coming out of there ...sorry just way to many negligent stories coming out of there for way to long

Family sent food, Challah, Veg soup... nurses kept saying that he's eating well, and he really liked the food, finished till last drop etc.
When he was released, in his bag was all food they sent, still sealed, covered in mold...

could be they don't want people going in and out but that has nothing to do with it. It's a government mandate (for sure on the state level, possibly federal too)

right so i agreed with that ... i can understand why that was put into place even though i think its horrible for all parties
my issue is if they are overwhelmed with even just giving people basic care then they should let the families send them food and other things they might need while they are there... e.g. phone charger
