NYC medicine is terrible, but I wouldn't get too trigger happy until we see how other places would handle an epidemic this size, where medical staff are overwhelmed and worried about their own safety, and choices have to be made whether to treat an 80+ year old man with no dependents vs a 45 year old mother of three.

You're missing the point, if we believe him that the nurse hit him because hes lazy or whatever..

1) doesn't mean all nurses are bad, could be a few bad ones.
2) there is a way to treat a human being like a mench & not like a dog & age doesnt matter

Just a some questions I have first: isn't it possible that due to certain tests that were needed he wasn't allowed to eat?
Second: the bruising on his arm is consistent with an infiltrated IV which probably is the cause of him saying they hit him the nurse was trying to establish an IV.
I'm not saying it's not true but first understand the medical side as well before just bad mouthing.

no I'm asking realistic questions that should be asked before saying that every hospital is doing bad
There are 3 sides to every story, each side and the truth
So before saying I'm cruel these need to be answered.
I might sound like I don't sympathize with his pain I do but I do deal with PT's on a daily basis so I see the other side as well.
