Ticket court date NYPD
« on: April 07, 2022, 08:24:34 PM »
I have my court date tomorrow and I read somewhere that if someone got a ticket from a cop who was furloughed during covid, the ticket can be invalidated and dismissed. I can’t find where I read that and was hoping someone here can help me or can direct me to someone who can. Thanks!

AFAIK if the cop doesn't show up they may throw out the ticket.

That’s correct but there was an article specific to covid, that if the coo was furloughed or there was a break in his employment at some point, the ticket would be invalid.

On another note, does anyone know what happens if the ticket was under my New York license but I have a New Jersey license now, do points go directly onto my nj license?

im sorry I can’t answer your question directly but you should probably give a call to a lawyer to ask these Q’s first. I happen to have hired terri Kalker who seems like a good person to talk to. Check ticket defenders .com
I believe she’s frum and has been doing this for 30 yrs
