Does it make sense that every time I try to login it restarts the 24 hours clock again? I tried motzei shabbos and was locked out, I tried again last night (probaby before the 24 hours was over) and got message that I am locked out, and got message this morning again.

Has anybody with an Israeli address been successfully able to put in their bank information in the website so they can get direct deposit?

I tried the website a few times and each time it says payment status not available.

I filed 2019 as a dependent but my parents haven't filed 2019 yet. Is there any way I would be able to get it?

They won't be getting anything for me when they do claim.
120 characters? Hmm, I wonder what I could write with 64 characters. Boy, it's gonna be hard to use up 15 characters. W-

If not under your parents, who did you file as a dependent under (shtick?)?
If you / they file an amended return without you being a dependent, would you be eligible to get it?
If yes, is there more savings on the way you did it now then the stimulus you’d get?

Why are you making assumptions? My daughter filed her 2019 return stating that she will be claimed as dependent (after I checked that she could indeed be claimed as a dependent on my return based on the facts), yet I didn't yet file my 2019 return, and might not do so for a while.

I didn't have time to check whether it's more beneficial to drop them as dependents and get 1200 stimulus payment, or keep them as dependent.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I am finally able to login again and getting this annoying message

The information you have entered does not match our records. Please try again.

If you used information from your 2019 tax return, the return may not have been processed yet. Please enter information from your 2018 tax return instead and try again.

Exactly!

When I filed 2019 I wrote that I will be claimed as (my parents) dependant.

Now I don't know if my parents will actually claim me when they file. I also don't know how much they get for claiming me but I'm not sure that it's not than $1,200.

I wanted to know if there is a way I could get the 1,200 if my parents don't end up filling me as a dependent.

Is it about the cash? If not you have til your 2020 taxes to decide what to do.

By 2020 taxes, would it come as cash then or would it be a $1,200 discount on my taxes?

I hope I will end up paying more, but I don't expect to be paying $1,200 in taxes for the 2020 year.

any additional credit you are eligible for will be refunded or reduce your tax liability when you file your 2020 tax return next year.

So if my taxes are less than $1,200 for 2020 I will get the rest as a refund?

That's great, now I can leave it until next year.

Appreciate it

For all those receiving IRS errors when trying to locate your stimulus payment- try entering your info in CAPS. Seems to do the trick for some.

Sad that this is still a necessary solution in 2020.
