I have a very similar question.
I have yet to file 2019 taxes.
I already received my DD based on 2018 taxes, but it didn't include my child born in 2019

how do I get that $500? Do I manually need to request the $500 somewhere on my 2019 taxes?
Same situation as you (got dd already and was based on 2018, would've gotten more if it was based on 2019 primarily b/c baby born in 2019). My understanding is 2019 taxes are irrelevant for us. It all gets reconciled next year when filing for 2020. They'll factor in the new # kids situation with new income situation. If it turns out they underpaid, you get the rest in form of a credit. If they overpaid, you don't have to give anything back.

Legit

The URL seems to be a fly-by-night. What makes you think it’s legit and not a copycat site for phishing people’s info?

should I assume DOC is wrong?:

This is also relevant for those who have had a child since they filed their last tax return – you can add the child to get the $500 now rather than waiting for when you file your taxes

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/a-few-updates-on-those-1200-stimulus-checks/

When I clicked through to IRS it's pretty clear not to use this tool.
www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here IRS:

Do NOT use this tool if you will be filing a 2019 return. If you are required to file a return, using this tool will NOT speed up your Economic Impact Payment and will likely slow down processing of your tax return and receiving any refund.

Common sense is not a gift, it is a punishment.
Because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Nice. Wonder if it was because the bank rejected DD.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

i assume this was discussed... but is there a consensus about a person filed as a dependent in 2019 and as independent in 2020, will they receive $1200 in their 2020 tax return?

04/22/20   IRS TREAS 310 TAX REF 042220 XXXXXXXXXX00   $1,200.00   .  I just got this direct deposit today after signing up. After I told my dad he told me that he lists me as a dependent on his tax return so I thought I wouldnt be eligible to recieve anything . Could that get me in trouble? being listed as a dependent and still collecting money?  i think my father is getting 500 for me also.  also, i was signing up for lots of credit card to spend for  the buying groups/manufactured spending  to earn points/ sign up bonuses and  have deposited a few hundred thousand dollars  in the past 2 years the same bank that  the irs deposited  gave me the 1200 stimulus money. but i still make under 75 thousand a year.

Never gave them DD info. It’s just surprising because paper checks we’re supposedly only starting to be sent out gradually from the 24th.

Know someone that filed 2018 and 2019 returns. IRS site returns "no info" when checking status of stimulus payment. Any else had this? Any common denominators?

Not sure what you're saying. They have an outstanding tax bill?

Sorry meant they owed tax when filing rather then receiving refund
