When you owe taxes you leave the direct deposit info blank...

Not really. Doesn’t actually indicate anything other than your a taxpayer and that you didn’t over pay in taxes.

Same. DD in first round, and paper check this round and as you said, I had a refund in 2018 and I owed in 2019.
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

I may be mistaken, but it's not so simple that the $2,000 will pass. It would need 60 supporters to pass it, and if they do it with the extended rules, which take longer but allow for a 51 vote majority, it can still be filibustered if there are no 60 supporters.

Until now, only a handful of Republicans openly supported it, and that included two that are not going to be in the next senate.

However, the Republicans have probably learned their lesson about the optics of opposing the checks, and some will probably back down. They definitely won't want the drama playing out of them filibustering such relief.

I once read that once Democrats get power (or anyone), they aren't in a rush to give out goodies right away. They rather want to give help in the year before an election.

I don't know if it applies now, but I don't think they would rush it immediately, but at minimum wait a couple of months?

I don't believe the Democrats are interested in helping the low/middle income hardworking citizens. It's all just a gimmick to try to gain control of the government. I'd be shocked if a Democrat post-election government passes anything significant for the benefit of the regular folk.

As long as they were a legal alien / permanent resident, that should've been enough for the first round as well
