Regardless of dependants.
MFJ with 0 dependents and earning $150k gets the full thing.
MFJ with 10 dependents and earning $160k gets 0.
The ridiculousness of that is that someone can be earning 150 and receive let's say $14,000 (which in our circles is probably not uncommon at all). If he earned 160 then he ends up with less than the "poorer" fellow.

The concept of redistribution of wealth being fair is a myth.

If this was about helping those who lost income because of Covid, then those who made more in 2020 than 2019 wouldn't be eligible.

The first time around they said they couldn't target it because it would take too long and they wanted to get money out asap, but what's the excuse 12 months later?

Can a married couple file taxes separately, so one spouse( with the kids) can get under income limits to qualify for redistribution (stimulus) check?

How does one find their 1st stimulus check amount? The link that used to show it now only shows the 3rd. I need to find it for filling taxes, and I can't seem to find the direct deposit in my transactions.

If you have Chase, it's categorized as ACH Credit. Mine came up as IRS TREAS 310 TAX REF
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Good idea!
Any accounts want to chime in on what the downside of doing this would be? How much of the ctc do you lose if file separately?
