I would love to know the difference between B"B (and to a lessor extent where I live, where we missed only 5 days of no minyan over the whole period) and Brooklyn/Williamsburgh both acted the same but the outcomes are completely different.
I doubt it was actually the same, Israel policed things differently vs. some places here where there was complete disregard. Corona also hit later and fewer there because of early implementation, AFAIK. Any clue what the infection rate is there? How many people have exhibited symptoms that you know of where you live?
Ask this question when the pandemic is over, it's too early to compare.
1. Bnai Brak has a body count from minyanim. I don't know the number, but do know that it's more than 02. There's no way to know how risky a minyan is until it's too late.
Too early? We have been on lockdown since March and now coming out of it. It is fair to assume the worst is far over here in Israel BH
In my Kirya (Kiryat Shmuel) there is no known cases amongst the community. Nobody with symptoms or anything BH Bli Ayin hora. Bnei Beraq was used in my example because they had minyanim until right before pesach and did not keep the social distancing.
Quotes in a signature is annoying, as it comes across as an independent post.
Bene Beraq seems to be an anomaly. There was no social distancing and many were infected. 2300 officially, but possibly 30% of population. However, only 3 deaths.
