I'm not sure there isn't a counter-argument to the first part, as I really don't know the science, but if the virions travel via droplets or aerosols, isn't it the size of those that matter rather than the size of the virions?

However, the last part where he talks about touching the masks is 100% spot on. I linked somewhere to an Israeli article about possibly exempting students from wearing masks during extreme heatwave, and there's a video interview with a doctor there who says the same thing. Constantly touching a mask, which is what most laypeople would do, especially when uncomfortable, is probably worse than not wearing one at all.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

This is way TLDR for me, but I'm sure some here will have the patience to read it and give us laypeople an executive summary.

How about @chevron are you up to the task?

Stupid post.

I'm pretty sure that if somebody was an infected carrier and sneezed, a mask would help

I've read five lines of it, but I mentioned elsewhere, the friend on immunosuppressants jakafi JAK in article, who did fine with covid19. The disease apparently sets the body to fight itself, similar to those with Gvhd.

I have never been sneezed on in public. 99.9% of people cover their cough and smell, which is a higher # then mask wearing.

If my post pic is correct, and sick people stay at home, scientifically how does a mask help?

Because I think you're grossly overestimating the amount of coughs and sneezes which are covered at all, let alone effectively.

This is way TLDR for me, but I'm sure some here will have the patience to read it and give us laypeople an executive summary.

The abstract seems to say that they have a better understanding of how this coronavirus works, so they have a better idea where to focus research.

...
1.  Based on early COVID-19 findings and past research, the author proposed a "pathway" of how COVID-19 progresses through and wreaks havoc in the body.

2.  "The proposed pathway suggests multiple (possible) points of (where further) investigation" could be beneficial for figuring out a connection to an intervention.

3,  Lastly, he actually names a number of "potential therapeutic interventions" based on the processes in this pathway.

Bloomberg is one of the easiest sites to deal with. In Chrome just install an extension called Cookie Remover, which you can click on to remove cookies from the current site you are on, and voila, you've reset the free article counter.

Set that only for that site? Is it a browser setting or an extension setting?
