Socioeconomics is a factor in that, and is probably a factor for other reasons as well in the prevalence of COVID-19 in (some sectors of?) the African American community.
For example: It cost more, and requires more planning, to strictly self-quarantine at home and order everything to be delivered. It’s also easier to do so if you have a bigger home with more creature comforts and variety of entertainment to keep your kids from climbing the walls. Housing density is a factor too.
It’s also possible that “essential” risky jobs are also more prevalent at the bottom of the socioeconomic totem pole.
