You can see the breakdown of all taxes when booking an award ticket at BA.com, which is always $32.60 more than AA.com for tickets going out of US/Canada
i meant of a previously flown ticket

I was charged 118.88 total so $59.44 per person.
You posted below that CUN should be much higher than that so the rates definitely changed since then...

...and I was getting at the fact that I want to be the one suing.
FWIU you stand to gain very little by bring the one suing. You'll get your 32 dollars back minus the lawyer fee. The only people who really do well from class action lawsuits are the lawyers

On what basis will they get more than 32 dollars? They may get a small amount for hassle + interest but not much more. Also being the I believe will only maker you a lot of money based on the number of cares you are able to sign up.

Isn't the attorney general responsible for these kind of things?

It seems to me that an inevitable outcome of this mess (aside from a CAS), is that BA will start charging YQ on these routes

That was probably likely any way, not as an outcome of this.  Never understood why they don't charge it worldwide.

When I log onto Alaska Airlines to view my reservation from SAN-Cabo San Lucas booked with BA miles, it says for each passenger that the "fare" is $32.60 and taxes & fees are $76.93 totalling $109.53.

Pretty obvious and blatant there.

"Hi there

Apologies for the delay - I was following up with our legal team in the US.  Their advice is for you to put this in writing to our customer relations team so that they can reply to you directly.  I'm afraid I'm not an expert in taxes, fees and charges hence my hesitancy to reply to ensure you get the correct response.

I think it's high time we write to the DOT and FTC about this issue...

Oh, and now we own guns!?! That's rude... And a far more insensitive post than Chaikel's!

Someone should please explain to them that that's our sense of humor style... We're just sayin' things, not doing....

Chaikel, for you I advise to pack up and run, hide for a few weeks. As long as you'll be around, they'll continue to party on this...
