Let's avoid another shutdown
« on: August 25, 2020, 06:16:06 PM »
Regardless of everyone's opinion of whether corona is still dangerous or not, whether we have to listen to the government or not, and whether there is reason to be careful because of pikuach nefesh etc, there is a real concern that if cases really begin to spike in frum areas, shuls and yeshivas and schools may be forced (at least by the government) to shut down. Please let's try to encourage everyone to be as careful as possible, so we don't have to go through another shutdown! (Warranted or not).
Especially those saying to be moiser nefesh for shul etc, real mesiras nefesh now means wearing a mask, perhaps skipping chasunas, or just generally being careful as possible so our mosdos can stay open.

Legally shuls can’t be shut down unless NYS were to go back to phase 1.
