When reporting a new offer please post here http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=49544.0

To take advantage of an Amex offer, first save the offer to your card, then do the spending. There are a few ways to save offers to your card; http://www.amexoffers.com/ has links to most of them. Depending on the offer and depending on your Amex card, it may be available via none, one or more than one of these methods:

americanexpress.com web site
Log into the americanexpress.com web site. If you get the new version of the site, scroll down to Amex Offers & Benefits at the bottom of the page. If you get the old version, click the Amex Offers For You tab. You can also see on this web site which offers you already saved (even if you saved them via a method other than this web site) and which offers you already redeemed. This method is only available for Amex credit and charge cards issued by American Express.
The maximum number of offer that the site will show you is 100. If you already have 100 available offers, there may be other offers that they are prepared to show you, but are not showing you because you already have the maximum. To see additional offers, save one or more of your available offers and then refresh the list (F5 in most Windows browsers).

Saving an offer on AmericanExpress.com to one of your cards will automatically make it unavailable for the rest of your cards linked to the same login. The way to get around this is by opening all of your cards in separate tabs and then saving the offer in each.  **

**Sign into different tabs?!?
Sign onto your Amex account. card #1 is on the page.  scroll to offers. note a good one.
Open  tab 2: amex.com (or with Chrome, right click on the first tab and choose Duplicate) > you are already logged in.> go to my accounts > click on card #2  on the top of the page. scroll to offers. check for same good offer.
Open tab #3. repeat as for tab #2. Repeat as necessary.
THEN: on tab #1 - click 'save' .  Then on tab #2 click 'save' . Then on each tab.
If you so desire: check on each card's 'saved offers' to check that it's there.

This link should take you to the Amex old layout,
which is much easier to scroll down through all the offers.

Amex® Mobile app
This method is only available for Amex credit and charge cards issued by American Express. The login is the same as for the americanexpress.com web site.

Dedicated web site for enrollment
Some Amex offers, most notably Small Business Saturday, but also NYC Restaurant Week, Home Depot, Amazon and DirecTV, offer a dedicated web site where you could enter your card information to enroll.

For Bluebird/Serve cards
Amex offers can be saved via the bluebird.com web site. Go to Plan & Manage > Amex Offers. Amex offers can also be saved via the Bluebird mobile app.

For cards not issued by American Express (such as Amex cards issued by Citi, USAA, PenFed, Bank of America, etc.)
Add offers to your card at this site: https://www.americanexpress.com/us/network/shopping.html
You will be prompted for your name, card number and email address.

got offers to add au on plat and get points. but even though it shows the offer on right side, at bottom of screen says no longer available. It gives option to add users, but SSN is not optional, must add it.

Any experience with this? Would i get the points?

I checked and actually got both offers too, but the $250 offer excludes most of their brands, so dbl dipping is pretty limited

I want to buy something $150+ from Sur la Table so I added the $10/$50 offer to a few of my AMEX cards. My plan is to buy 3 of the $50 GC and then use the GC to buy the item. I haven't seen data points on whether physical or e- gift cards work, but neither is in the AMEX Offers exclusions. I started by just buying a single $50 physical gift card but I haven't received the email. The pending charge shows "SUR LA TABLE CUL ECOMM". Can someone confirm that this will get me the credit? And if anybody knows, do e-GC work as well?

Edit:  I got the email for the physical GC. I then tried another card to guy an e-GC, haven't gotten the email yet but it's the same pending charge so I expect it to work.

On an aside, I accidentally used the wrong AMEX card to make a purchase at this store (I loaded the offer to another card, too many to juggle sometimes LOL), but once I realized the mistake, I quickly logged on to that card's account and added the offer. The pending charge still shows $1. I'm sure this has happened before, perhaps with other merchants. Does adding the offer about 1-2 minutes after the transaction usually work, especially if the initial charge is only $1?

I know I can pay over the phone. And I did that. But it only triggered the wireless offer.

Actually I got 2 email confirmations for the same card. I guess I will wait 2 days to see what happens

I called and asked to raise the prepay limit explaining I spend several months in Israel  etc and would like to have the option to prepay , the rep said $300 is the max amount their system takes and there is nothing he can do about increasing the limit. My account is Uverse internet and landline, no wireless, my monthly bill is $81.  But I have always received amex credit even if it specified wireless.
I think wireless customers can prepay up to $1000, also not sure if I try to pay a few hundred more over the phone , will it trigger the Amex offer?

You can only pay off the entire remaining amount or pay off remaining needed to upgrade, not specific amounts other than that

Why can't you ask them to bill it to your account and then pay your bill in increments of $150?

Do you think you would be able to overpay the  service portion of the bill, then Call in and have them apply the overpayment to the equipment balance?

No - I tried that a while back and they wouldn't do it
