::)

You can always just make a new thread for that instead of going off topic in this one.

International imports vs. domestic manufacturing? And when looking at imports, the “exotic” category would likely be hit harder then “regular” things.
Any specialty item is already affected as per my contact in the food line.

My grandfather used to tell about how one year there was a delay with the ship bringing esrogim to NY and almost nobody had an esrog until the ship showed up the day before erev yom tov. They got unloaded overnight and the peddlers were filling their pushcarts with them at the docks. He said that was both the cheapest (inflation adjusted) and nicest esrog he ever had.

Not sure about sukkos. But food basics might be a shortage in the next few weeks. Spoke today to a large distributor his words.
Which distributor? Because it's fake news per what I heard from the biggest kosher distributor in the US

Biggest kaoher distributor is Kayco.
Facts on the ground which I deal with everyday prove home wrong. Kayco themselves had a grape juice shortage before pesach and I have the emails to prove it.

Literally what I said. It seems like people like coming here with baseless statements, just to get other people nervous.

I can actually believe that there was no shortage... Based on prior dealings with the company... Truth is our clients who couldn't get from the company and distributors directly, got a bunch of skids from a local chain at a much better price.
But as I see from my front row seat... Many small specialty food companies are closing their doors which is hurting our company. Smaller beverage plants, nut roasters,  specialty bakeries, can't companies. Large bakeries (specifically those baking Staples such as bread), flour Mills , large beverage bottlers (especially those servicing hospitals- not so much for those servicing airlines/hotels- often it's the same company), cereal companies, dairies, etc are for the most part doing well.
