Biggest kaoher distributor is Kayco.
Facts on the ground which I deal with everyday prove home wrong. Kayco themselves had a grape juice shortage before pesach and I have the emails to prove it.

Kayco does not and did not have a grape juice shortage
I only paid 15% by switching to dansdeals

Literally what I said. It seems like people like coming here with baseless statements, just to get other people nervous.

I have the emails to prove it.
I can actually believe that there was no shortage... Based on prior dealings with the company... Truth is our clients who couldn't get from the company and distributors directly, got a bunch of skids from a local chain at a much better price.
But as I see from my front row seat... Many small specialty food companies are closing their doors which is hurting our company. Smaller beverage plants, nut roasters,  specialty bakeries, can't companies. Large bakeries (specifically those baking Staples such as bread), flour Mills , large beverage bottlers (especially those servicing hospitals- not so much for those servicing airlines/hotels- often it's the same company), cereal companies, dairies, etc are for the most part doing well.

Any specialty item is already affected as per my contact in the food line.

::)

You can always just make a new thread for that instead of going off topic in this one.

International imports vs. domestic manufacturing? And when looking at imports, the “exotic” category would likely be hit harder then “regular” things.
We should make a new thread for every item. That way we can all plan accordingly.

Amazon isn’t accepting new inventory of chocolate chips? Otherwise it’s possible that they had stock before Pesach and it’s dwindled by now.
