I think there is going to be signifcant international travel between clean countries by the end of June/mid July. One of the largest impediments is that nobody wants to put the USA on a blacklist.
Pretty amazing how US & Russia are off of Turkey's entry list:

1. Nationals of Algeria, Angola, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, Chad, China (People's Rep.), Colombia, Cote d'Ivoire, Czechia, Denmark, Djibouti, Dominica, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece. Guatemala, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea (Rep.), Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Mauritania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Niger, North Macedonia (Rep.), Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan are not allowed to enter Turkey.

4. Passengers who have transited or have been in Algeria, Angola, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, Chad, China (People's Rep.), Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Cote d'Ivoire, Czechia, Denmark, Djibouti, Dominica, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea (Rep.), Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Mauritania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Niger, North Macedonia (Rep.), Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom or Uzbekistan in the past 14 days are not allowed to transit or enter Turkey.

This one might help resume a lot more things than travel, if indeed it's effective.

This could be a total game changer.
The question is, wouldn't one who is infected and asymptomatic still be able to spread it the conventional way, unless we believe masks guarantee that can't happen?!

How would it help for germs coming from inside the body, like breathing?

It would help if you wear a real mask.

I wonder if railway travel will pick up. Just because it will have less security screening procedures.

Unless the politicians get their act together on real stimulus with a major infrastructure upgrade which will include high speed (as in bullet trains) rail.

Don’t think it will help for most of the country. We’re not nearly as dense as Europe.

Who's talking Europe. Look at Japan and China.

Fair point. Maybe now there will actually be demand.

The demand is and was here for quite a few years. The problem is that it's a major capital infrastructure project that requires serious commitment from multiple levels of government. And you can be sure that there will be opposition to it. It would require someone like DJT to get this done (or BHO with a commitment like he had to his ACA).
