Anyone have any pictures?

Of what? Tuv Taam Hummus? Goldenflow 1% pint container? Fresh apples and grape tomatoes?

Muffin and bread, here you go:

Have u seen the lines ?
If they would hand out a roll of toilet paper along with the meals, then we would see real lines.

If there was also a bottle of lysol to go along, we might need to contact Guinness to document a world record.

No dinner. That’s a sum of the breakfast and lunch packages (I think).

Do you know what are the "three meals" referred to on the page?

"Three Kosher meals a day will be available to any New Yorker who wants one at ten sites in Brooklyn and Queens. The sites are listed below and can also be found in the Meal Hub look up tool."

Are there no Jewish schools in Brooklyn doing free lunch? BYQ has a program fully funded by NYS (at least that's what the email said) providing breakfast and lunch to any family in the school, and they extended the invitation to families from some other Queens schools as well. You pick up twice a week for the whole week. They gave tons of food.

False advertising to market this as three meals and only offer breakfast and lunch.

This is only for kids, parents do not get from this program.
Also you should really thank them, this took a ton of effort to get started and now since no other yeshiva seems to do it, they are currently providing meals for about a thousand kids, and more will sign up when the open the link again tonight.

Correct on it being for kids, but they're not sending individually packaged meals. You write how many kids, and they send it all together - and in abundance based on the first pickup this week. So for example, there was a tin of baked ziti, which is supposed to be 1 lunch for 4 kids. But it's way more than my 4 kids can eat.

And absolutely, this is a huge help for the community. There are certainly families for which this is a lifeline. And even for those that financially don't need it as much, it's a huge convenience at a time when things are difficult managing everything in a house full of kids. It means less trips out to the stores for parents. The pickup system appears to be relatively safe and efficient. As far as it being offered to more than just BYQ - they are the provider/caterer for school lunch for several schools, which is why I believe they started off with some other schools included in the program right off the bat. But that doesn't take anything away from what a big deal, and big effort the whole program is. Kudos to Simcha Noble.

Most large to mid-sized Chassidish schools are providing breakfast and lunch daily. Things like bread, spreads, cereal, and milk (one in particular started out with gefilte fish, blintzes, etc but I can imagine the feedback they got. They quickly changed to basics).
The one I know best has prepackaged boxes ready. Each box is meant for 4 kids, so if you're picking up for 6-8 kids you get 2 boxes. Since bread and cereal are packaged as is, you end up getting a lot more food than 4 kids could possibly eat.
When you first get in line you provide your phone number, which is preprogrammed in their system with how many kids you can pick up for. You receive a receipt which you present when you reach the pickup station, and based on that you get a box or two (or three).

Families are saving HUGE amounts on food, thanks to this.
some Yeshiva's even have delivery.

Glad to hear this is being done in other places as well.

Just got today's meal pickup from BYQ - they included shabbos food too!

BYQ seems to be different.

AFAIK all local schools are providing free meals to families. Breakfast and Lunch. Some offer daily pickup, some 2-3 times a week.  I haven't heard of any local school providing Shabbos food.

On a side note, I don't think it will be enough to save LY, but this is definitely a major revenue boost.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Breakfast and lunch. Add an 8 oz paper milk (CY) carton to each.

So is the menu identical every day?
