So is the menu identical every day?
They said they were going to add items. Each item needs to get red tape approval and the objective was to get it off the ground quickly.

Did anyone actually go back today after yesterday's disappointment?

I assume it will take more time than that to add items.

How could anyone be disappointed? In order to be disappointed, one needs to have expectations. What would you expect from Borenstein?

They said they were going to add items. Each item needs to get red tape approval and the objective was to get it off the ground quickly.

They are accustomed to getting meals off the ground, but at this time when no-one's flying, I guess nothing is getting off the ground.  ;)

That being said, does anyone have some pull so we can get the DOE to switch to Hermolis, La Casa, or even Weiss (or whatever they renamed themselves) or Masbia.

Now we can understand everything. The instruction are for flight attendants, but they were all furloughed.

lol, poor choice of words I guess.
I actually meant to post when I first saw what they gave, my thought was along the lines of "well it looks like Borenstein is serious about upholding their reputation." :)

A little off topic but I just have to...

Can someone explain me how Borenstein is so powerful?  They serve awful food on planes and serve almost the entire NY aviation market. How is that?   Now, when business slowed down for them because people are not flying, they managed to squeeze their dirty head in here!  I mean, forget about Hermolis but even Hamasbia in Israel is way better than Borenstein.

So while serving these gross rubbery omelets they manage to continue having the airline business for years, and now when they city is looking for a caterer, guess who they found? The same caterer who serves expired food on planes!

How is it that no competition has pushed them out of busness?

Tzad hashaveh shebeneihem: Both the airlines and the city of NY wants to spend as little as possible per meal.
Other caterers would laugh at the budgets offered.

Help me understand. NYC wants to spend as little as possible per meal, yet they supposedly want to provide "healthy" meals/choices. Eating healthy is incompatible with low budget. The cheapest food is junk food.

Is this the only question you have on NYC?

Where do you take the information about their pricing?

It's over a month with alternate side parking suspended, so they're cheating on healthy food for the cheaper :)

Bernstein had some relationship with the city so was able to get this contract off the ground easier

I said and meant JFK. I don’t think Borenstein’s has a facility in LGA. I might be wrong about that.
