Trump said he can’t wait for the 100k fans at the masters in novemeber!

Is there anyone who believes everything that man says?

Did you mean anything?  :)
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

If it gives me hope about the masters happening then sure.

False hope can be very dangerous.

It’s Augusta National, they’ll figure out how to host a tournament.

It won’t be the same without fans. The masters and Ryder cup are the two golf tournaments which simply can’t be held without fans.

If any sport doesn't need fans it would be golf.

Made they all wear masks?
That's not going to happen.

I was lucky enough to attend several NBA Finals and WS games in 2016. Man would those be sad to see without fans.
I want to watch sports, but I think my vote is no, unless they're exhibition games or tournament format outside of the regular statistics and playoff formats.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

First of all, the players rely on the galleries and grandstands for sight lines and finding errant tee shots. Second of all, the tournaments wouldn’t be the same without the fans. Watch tiger going down the 18th fairway at the tour championship in 2018, wouldn’t be the same without fans.

That's called a caddy.

Of course it wouldn't be the same but they don't need fans like baseball, football and hockey.

How? Even after fans ARE allowed back, it won’t be with the same anger due to the delay, and with so much else happening in that time. It’s been almost forgotten by now.
i totally agree with you-I even forgot about it myself. In general ppl aren’t going to be as angry and will try to make peace after beating the virus. Such a chaval.
nothings impossible- the word itself says Im possible

I know what a caddy is, but I’ve heard players already talk about how different it will be without fans in terms of the risks they can take.

I'm kind of enjoying the games of yesteryear that they have been showing.

I don't really get how it would work without fans? What happens when one player gets it? A whole team gets it?
If a player gets it you bench him  like any illness. Keep them basically quarantined and every player and ref gets tested before each game, it’s not that many tests and they can certainly afford it.

I think ratings will spike in these times and some of the in-person revenue will be made up by the extra TV revenue. Remember, they’re losing a fortune of money now that they won’t ever recoup.

I'm sure they can work out additional marketing contracts if they're going to have such a captive audience. Presuming their sponsors haven't gone belly up, yet...

-1. The news of the end of the world has been grossly exaggerated. The earth still turns.
