Chizkuni is dead (now only 50% off.) Shadal is still live.
These are usually upwards of a hundred bucks.https://www.amazon.com/dp/1602802610/?tag=cl03f-20&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DERandhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/9655240673/?tag=cl03f-20&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
SLP I think is slipcase. But I'm not sure. Either way, Amazon's 18 dollar price for the full four-volume set is retardedly cheap and almost certainly will go up. (60 bucks for the Chizkuni ain't bad as well, but yesterday I bought it for 24.)
Shadal is still live. I strongly encourage people to buy it, as it is a great pirush - at less than 20 bucks for the foru volume set. Meshech Chochma is also less than 8 bucks.
And both are dead.
Started reading this over Shabbos, can only say you get what you pay for. This is an embarrassingly poor publication, multiple egregious typos on every page, typeset like my 5th grader's book reports. The editor's notes quote from Wikipedia and Google. What on earth does it mean to quote from Google?
I haven't read mine yet. I thought since it was published by Ktav it would be quality. Funny.Which one are you reading?http://www.ktav.com/index.php/shadal-torah-commentary-by-samuel-david-luzzatto.html
