We've been through this before. It is impossible to prove that restrictions work. If they work, infections don't happen. I can't prove why something didn't happen. The only thing we have is strong correlation and conjecture.
The fact that mobility went up and down regardless of government mandates proved that the mandates did nothing to help the situation. Now we also have Lakewood vs NY where the numbers went down just as fast without a lockdown.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Once again, different argument. The question is on restrictions, not mandates. I don't care if you lock yourself up or the government does it for you.

As for lockdowns, they are not the answer. However, they do have a place and they do serve a purpose. Within that place and purpose, they are effective. What you saw in NY just now was not an effective use of a lockdown.

Because in reality there is no lockdown in red zones in NY (even if people want to believe there is). Nevertheless, the numbers still came down.

Numbers will come down whether there is a lockdown or not. The lockdown can change what happens before the numbers come down.

Sorry, I'm not following. What will be different before the numbers come down if there is or isn't a lockdown?

How many people get infected. How many people are hospitalized. How many people die. How overwhelmed hospitals and local infrastructures get. How quickly the numbers come down.

Ok, understood.

Didn't see our hospitalizations (serious condition) or death rate go up at all. Not saying nobody died, but it was really very very few and each one of those that unfortunately did die, made it into the (Jewish) news. Very few of those that died March and April got any news coverage.

Not the news part  :).

Just the fact that hospitalizations of people in serious condition and deaths did not drastically increase during the current spike and subsequent (non)lockdown.

A lockdown wasn't warranted here. It may have kept some people from getting infected, possibly kept a few people from being hospitalized, but the benefits were not huge. This was a localized outbreak in pretty insular communities with significant amounts of people with antibodies. Precautions were warranted, to try to lessen the spread, and because we don't (didn't, and still don't) how long antibodies hang around for, but a lockdown wasn't the appropriate response to the situation. That doesn't mean it won't be appropriate in other situations.

So we have a very comparable location without a lockdown with a better result, but because you "know" lockdowns work, we now have proof that the lockdown worked.

Just as an example about how terribly the lockdown is working, we had an afruf in our shul in Lakewood, for a family that lives in the red zone in brooklyn. I have no problem with it and am happy our shul was able to help them avoid the lockdown, but if you think it was effective, I have news for you.

They may have made a kiddush, but an aufruf it was not.

I did not say that. But the fact of the matter is the Covid wave appears to have subsided in BP & Monsey. Was there a better way to do it? Maybe. But it worked.

So the wave subsided in Lakewood, BP, Monsey due to Lockdown HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You level of delusion amazes me. You are making some of the worst anit-masker look firmly in reality.

What's your question?
I am trying to understand where you are headed. Numbers go down without lockdowns but it changes what happens before. What changes?

My understanding from those involved in Lakewood is that the main difference between now and the first wave is the knowledge of how to treat and testing
